Valley of the Temples in Agrigento
The Valley of the Temples is an archaeological park characterized by its exceptional state of preservation and a series of important Doric temples from the Hellenic period. It corresponds to ancient Akragas, the monumental original core of the city of Agrigento. Since 1997, the area has been part of the list of world heritage sites compiled by UNESCO. The archaeological and landscape park of the Valley of the Temples, with its 1300 hectares, is one of the largest archaeological sites in the Mediterranean and one of the main symbols of all Sicily.

Scala dei Turchi
The Scala dei Turchi is a white stone cliff overlooking the sea along the coast of Realmonte, in the province of Agrigento. Over time, it has become an important tourist attraction both because of the uniqueness of the cliff, which is deep white in color and has distinctive shapes, and as a result of the popularity gained by the novels starring Commissioner Montalbano, written by the famous Sicilian author Andrea Camilleri.
